Eva Dahlgren host at Grammis this year

As you may have read, Eva Dahlgren was one of the hosts, or “master of ceremonies” as some Swedish press called it, of this year’s edition of Grammisgalan. She also joined The Ark with one of their performances, “Calleth You, Cometh I”, which can be seen on Youtube.

Unfortunately, this year the show was not broadcast on any TV (it had to be THIS year or??), so there are only pictures from the event for us to enjoy: Expressen, Aftonbladet.

I also found a “making of” the costumes Eva wore, by Bea Szenfeld.

Mija and Greta Folkesson back with new band Blackbird Sthlm

Mija and Greta Folkesson are back with the band Blackbird Sthlm, a newly formed band consisting of Fredrik von Gerbe (guitars, vocals, drums), Thomas Lindberg (bass), Erik Holmberg (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Stefan Bergström (guitar and vocals) and, last but not least, Mija Folkesson (vocals) and Greta Folkesson (vocals).

“If one should describe what kind of music Blackbird Sthlm makes, one comes up with bands and artists we grew up with, specially from the time we ourselves started to play music,” writes Fredrik von Gerbe on the band’s MySpace website. “Back then, one sat down with new released favourite albums and looked at the covers with all those pictures and one started to dream and believe that everything was possible.”

Bands and artists such as Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimmy Hendrix, Deep Purple and many many more are the band’s inspiration.”The fact that we managed to put this gang together feels extremely great,” Fredrik comments, “so it will be very exciting to be on this new journey.”

The band will perform tomorrow on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon. You can hear 2 of their songs, “White Dove” and “This Is Who I Am” on MySpace.

Update December 14: you can see the performance on TV4’s website. White Dove, This Is Who I Am, Interview with Fredrik and Mija.

Looking for video of Jorden är ett litet rum – performance

I used to have a video of Eva performing “Jorden är ett litet rum”, for what I remember she was sitting in a room, on a chair, with children sitting in front of them on the floor. There were candles all around. I think the performance was from 1996 and was recorded/broadcast in December around Lucia’s. I unfortunately cannot find this performance anymore.
I would appreciate if anybody who has it could share it 🙂
Thanks!
