Eva Dahlgren will attend the Fundraising Party organised by the Swedish School of Los Angeles (USA) on May 1, where she will receive the school’s Viking Award 2010. She is also expected to perform. Taken from the Swedish School homepage:

Mark your calendars! Our Annual Swedish School Fundraising Party is back and more magical than ever!
Saturday May 1st in Santa Monica, be prepared for an enchanting evening of mystique and Nordic Mythology.
Eva Dahlgren – often called “Sweden’s own Bob Dylan” – singer song-writer, and children’s book author, joins previous award winners, Will & Viveca Ferrell and Mats Wilander as the 2010 recipient of our prestigious Viking Award.
In previous years, guests have enjoyed a party filled with delicious food, great entertainment, drinks and Swedish hospitality, and 2010 promises to be the most spectacular yet.
So, Save the Date, May 1st 2010, an evening to remember.

Eva Dahlgren to perform at Stadshuset gala on Thursday

According to DN, Eva Dahlgren will be one of the artists to perform at a gala in Stadthuset on June 18th, where Crown Princess Victoria will be handing out this year’s prizes from the Marianne and Sigvard Bernadotte Artist Fund. The gala is even more special this year as Marianne Bernadotte, who is Victoria’s great aunt, is celebrating her 85th birthday.

Other special guests who will perform during the gala are Marie Fredriksson, ABBA singer Agnetha Fältskog, opera singer Barbara Hendricks, Lill Lindfors and violinist Christian Svarfvar.

According to Hufvudstadsbladet Eva will perform at the Kaisafest’09 music festival in Helsinki on June 13th.

Tickets for Eva Dahlgren’s concert at Tall Ships’ Races are on sale

Tickets for Eva Dahlgren’s concert during the Tall Ships’ Races in Turku, Finland, are already on sale. As previously mentioned, the concert takes place on July 23, 2009 in Eastway Arena and starts at 17:00.
The tickets cost between 47,70 and 52,70 Euro and can be purchsed on Menolippu.fi. There is also a VIP Package available for 145,18 Euro.
Gary Moore and Tomas Ledin are the other main acts during the Races.

Eva Dahlgren to perform at Tall Ships Race in July

The spectacular sailing event The Tall Ships’ Races Baltic will take place in Turku between 23rd and 26th of July 2009. The spectacular sailing ship event offers various happenings both for the crews of the vessels and the public. The event area extends from the Martinsilta Bridge towards Turku Castle on each side of the Aurajoki River. The official opening of the event takes place on 23 July 2009 at Varvintori Square. Top concerts, stalls and different performances will be arranged along the banks of the river, at the Varvintori Square and on the stage which will be set up in front of the maritime centre Forum Marinum.
One of the artists to offer a concert will be Eva Dahlgren. Date and exact place still to be announced.

Update 17th March: The concert will take place on 23rd July at the Eastway Arena tent. The tent is located in front of the Forum Marinum Maritime Museum. Ticket fees and exact concert time is still to be announced.

Eva Dahlgren and Peter JÃ¶back have recorded a double album during the rehearsals for their coming tour “Himlen Ã¤r inget tak”. The album will be available for purchase in each concert the duo will do in Sweden, Norway and Finland this summer. Each sold album means a specially impregnated mosquito net for Red Cross to fight malaria.
Red Cross distributes these mosquito nets for free in the areas where malaria is the cause of thousands of deaths daily. “Malaria is one of worlds most deadly illnesses but one which can be fought very easily,” say Eva and Peter.

According to SÃ¶dermanlands Nyheter Eva and Peter will start the tour in Sweden a day before than planned, namely on July 26 in NykÃ¶ping. Originally this date was reserved for a second concert in Norway.
