According to DN, Eva Dahlgren will be one of the artists to perform at a gala in Stadthuset on June 18th, where Crown Princess Victoria will be handing out this year’s prizes from the Marianne and Sigvard Bernadotte Artist Fund. The gala is even more special this year as Marianne Bernadotte, who is Victoria’s great aunt, is celebrating her 85th birthday.

Other special guests who will perform during the gala are Marie Fredriksson, ABBA singer Agnetha Fältskog, opera singer Barbara Hendricks, Lill Lindfors and violinist Christian Svarfvar.

Eva Dahlgren wil be a guest in the Finnish TV show “10 kirjaa rakkaudesta” (Ten Books About Love), together with Märta Tikkanen and Jörn Donner, on 6th August 2009 at 9 p.m. on channel Yle 1. They will be discussing Per Olov Enquist’s novel “Nedstörtad Ängel” which is available in Finnish (“Suistunut enkeli”) and in English (“Downfall: a love story”). Eva Dahlgren will read the book on Märta Tikkanen’s request.

Efva’s jewels can now also be found in Spain (my homeland! yay!). Björklund Trading runs the sales agency for Efva Attling’s jewels in Spain, which can now be found in Valencia, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga.
Björklund Trading runs a blog where you can read about news and events. They report that last Thursday there was an event in Valencia where Efva’s jewels were presented with tapas and champagne.
The launching event took place on May 11th with Valencia football players among the guests. Here you can see some pictures.
Too bad I live in Austria now, would have loved to see Efva’s jewels on national Spanish TV!

Efva is also expanding to Spain and launched new designs last Wednesday with a small party in the store in Hornsgatan.

Welcome to our new website and online store. I am proud to present my entire collection on the web. Now you can choose when you want to shop. For years people have been asking me why I haven’t opened a shop on-line. I have a motto though…”The time will come”. Now the time has come.

Last year my company celebrated its 10th year anniversary. I also celebrated the fact that Barack Obama was sworn in as the new US president. We are turning pages and I hope that we are gradually becoming strong enough to build a better world together. And Mr. President, we have something in common. We believe in hope and change.

I used to be a singer and songwriter. I connected with other people by expressing my inner thoughts in lyrics, and music . Music has a very important therapeutic function in people?s lives. When I started designing jewellery, I wanted to continue to write and express myself. I wanted to give the gift of words and expressions, hoping that they would be meaningful to someone else. Like “Carpe Diem”, to seize the day, since you never know what tomorrow brings. And “Amor Fati…” we’ve been given this life and now it’s up to us to make the most of it.

I call my jewellery ”beauty with a thought”. People often share their life stories with me and I’ve been told over and over again how much a piece of jewellery has affected someone’s life. A little about my latest collections…

Moonwalk
I’ve always been fascinated by how the moon influences us. When I designed Moonwalk I chose a moon with a softer surface than the one with the deep craters we’ve all seen in pictures.

Swirl
I was playing with a satin ribbon when I came up with this new design. The collection comes with earrings, a ring and a pendant. I’ve also created matching eyewear.

Magnolia
Taking my inspiration from the beautiful magnolia flower, I made this as a small and as a large pendant with matching earrings. This collection will be released in May 2009.

Sweethearts
Yes, I do! Of course I love working with people in love. A wedding is a very important and joyous time in a person’s life and I am proud to play a tiny part in it. My new wedding collection has it all: the engagement ring, the wedding ring, a pair of earrings and a necklace with the name Sweethearts. Romantic and cute, but never silly.

According to Hufvudstadsbladet Eva will perform at the Kaisafest’09 music festival in Helsinki on June 13th.
Tickets can be bought at Menolippus website.

Tickets for Eva Dahlgren’s concert during the Tall Ships’ Races in Turku, Finland, are already on sale. As previously mentioned, the concert takes place on July 23, 2009 in Eastway Arena and starts at 17:00.
The tickets cost between 47,70 and 52,70 Euro and can be purchsed on Menolippu.fi. There is also a VIP Package available for 145,18 Euro.
Gary Moore and Tomas Ledin are the other main acts during the Races.

The spectacular sailing event The Tall Ships’ Races Baltic will take place in Turku between 23rd and 26th of July 2009. The spectacular sailing ship event offers various happenings both for the crews of the vessels and the public. The event area extends from the Martinsilta Bridge towards Turku Castle on each side of the Aurajoki River. The official opening of the event takes place on 23 July 2009 at Varvintori Square. Top concerts, stalls and different performances will be arranged along the banks of the river, at the Varvintori Square and on the stage which will be set up in front of the maritime centre Forum Marinum.
One of the artists to offer a concert will be Eva Dahlgren. Date and exact place still to be announced.

Update 17th March: The concert will take place on 23rd July at the Eastway Arena tent. The tent is located in front of the Forum Marinum Maritime Museum. Ticket fees and exact concert time is still to be announced.

According to Market.se, Efva Attling plans to expand to China, The Netherlands, Germany and Spain during year 2009. “The finance crisis has made us slow down our plans, but we’ll try to keep our growth plans as much as possible,” tells Magnus Wistam.

There’s an article on Blikk.no about Eva Dahlgren’s performance yesterday in Oslo. According to the article, she performed three songs with Tord Gustavsen, who played the piano.

Eva Dahlgren will be in Oslo on December 1 and perform in an AIDS gala. One of the songs she will perform is “Vila”, a new song together with Tord Gustavsen.
