Another novelty this year is that the Grammi statue has been redesigned by Efva Attling. The new prize is a 2,2 heavy glass statue produced in glass by Orrefors which resembles a skyscraper, with a star at the top.
“My first thought was Empire State Building meets Hötorgsskrapan with a musical touch. Then it felt important that the star should be done with the finest platinum, which is the most expensive material – after all, the one who wins the prize has to feel like a star. “That night and for ever,” comments Efva.
Let’s hope Eva can take one of these precious prizes home.
Eva will guest Finnish FST program Bettina S this evening.

Eva’s new album “Petroleum och tÃ¥ng”, released last week, entered the official Swedish album chart at #3.
In the next hours you’ll find my personal review of “Petroleum och tÃ¥ng” here.
All I can say for now is that I am quite sure this is going to be one of my favourite Eva albums. My all-time favourite are “Lai Lai” and “Fria världen”. In any case, much better, alive, inspired, full of feelings than “Snö”.
For now you can find below a collection of external reviews:

If you can’t wait to listen to Eva’s new album, or at least get an idea of what’s on the way, point your browser to this website and enjoy the 30-second snippets.
For what I could hear so far, Eva is experimenting more with her voice this time, I think the main character in this album is actually her voice, which is simply great. Eva has a fantastic voice but sometimes she doesn’t use it at its full. One of my favourite albums is “Jag vill se…” and the reason is.. her voice. Thumbs up!
